JohnThese are a brilliant multi-activity shoe for a good price. As others I am about to purchase another pair.
These shoes are waterproof, comfortable, light and very hardwearing.
The real deal.
Cabbage RandallExcellent shoe.
MikeI bought these trainers/shoes 2 years ago as a replacement walking shoe for a pair of boots that I didn't think were really athletic enough. I've since used them for all sorts of purposes, I certainly wouldn't say they're just for running in. I just felt compelled to review them because I'm so impressed! I actually paid £55 for mine at the time during a sale, but I can say whole-heartedly that they're worth the full asking price!
I've had them as city walkers on holidays, commuting trainers for comfort, hiking around Iceland's glaciers and volcanoes in mid-winter, mountain hikes in Scotland, running through very muddy forests in South Wales, canyoning in the Wye Valley, mountain biking, trekking through jungles in Myanmar, used as climbing shoes, and even playing beach rugby on soft sand. They can basically handle anything you want to throw at them!
The outer shoe is incredibly durable, I'd challenge any 'tough' styled shoe or boot to beat them, having owned many different brands in the past. There is still no visible degradation to either shoe after two years of putting them through all sorts of tough conditions (and I wouldn't say I've really been looking after them at all to be totally honest!). They're just starting to show their age on the inside, in that the fabric on the inside of the heels are beginning to feather ever so slightly, but it isn't noticable when wearing them yet. They've lasted far longer than anything else I've had in the past!
The 'wetsuit' style material that the shoe is mostly made of is entirely waterproof, but genuinely breathable. The only drawback is that they are 'trainers', rather than boots, so if you know you're going to be in water deeper than your ankle with them, moisture can get over the top of the shoe, so you might want to go for the 'boot' style option of the same shoe, which I assume is just as durable.
The fit is superb, the lacing structure is solid in case you want tight or casual fit, cushioning is plentiful for long days, and the support structure is great, considering they're only ankle deep being trainers.
All in all, great value all rounder than can tackle literally anything - mine will probably last another year of punishment before I even think of replacing them. I very much recommend, and I'll probably get myself another pair as proof of that!
Keith JacksonHad two pairs of these great multi-activity shoes over the years and just about to purchase my next pair. Excellent fit and very waterproof.
PhilI've been through a few 'shell' shoes and these are the best yet. I cycle regularly on a commute and these have kept my feet dry and warm enough every time.
Peter WatsonThis will be the 3rd pair I have bought over the last 10yrs. Have tried others but none come up to the mark. these are top for comfort and fit. Still got 1st pair for gardening in. Definitely waterproof.
Mike GBought these for my walk to work. Autumn, Winter months can ruin a good pair of shoes for the office, so these shoes are perfect for the mixed weather we have. Light weight, perfect fit and waterproof and great price.
Thor WhiteThese shoes are by far the most comfortable walking shoes I've ever owned. Watertight, forgiving and casual looking. I hope they never stop stocking them.
Andy OrrBought these just before xmas and have not been disappointed at all. Primarily for out walking around the coastline, these are great because the soft shell repels the water and are very easily cleaned. They are so versatile that they can be worn and look like normal black shoes when worn with jeans. Absolutley Fabulous.
