Tombought about a year ago for my DofE it worked as it should of but i didn't know how a rucksack of a size like this should have felt. I have used it several times since i purchased it and have felt uncomfortable most of the time when using it. The mesh (shoulder straps) is quite brittle and can rub over a long period of time causing them to ache whenever you wear the rucksack. The material is really strong but thick which can be good and bad, good that it takes some strength to tear the bag and bad because it adds quite a bit of weight. The side pockets are very stiff to open but they do have flaps which protect them from the rain, I wouldn't call this rucksack waterproof its more waterresistant for a short period of time, trespass has thought about this though and has intergrated a special zip pocket on the back of the lid which contains the waterproof rain cover which fits the bag pretty well unless you have something strapped onto the outside. The clips that secures the compresseion straps to the lid and the bottom compartment split and crack very easily. if the clip doesnt break it is visible that too much strain is put onto them (which isnt very thight) which causes them to buckle. The back could be very uncormfortable at times and i assume that it was because it wasn't the right bag for me even though the sales person said it was the right bag for me. Overall i am not extremely satisfied with this bag but it did the job for a couple of days that it was planned to be used
richardSpent an hour in Trespass Farnborough yesterday with a brilliant sales lady fitting up the back pack. Unbelievable what you have to take for d of e. bought one of these for my 14 year old.
This one does it. Thanks
izzieI used this bag for dofe, and it was all I needed it to be, but as I am fairly petite, the hip straps do not do up as tight as I would ideally like them to. For anyone else, this bag is amazing - comfortable, adjustable, lots of smaller compartments, and waterproof, which was perfect as it rained for most of our expedition!
