Running Kit for Your Next Marathon

On your marks… get set… RUN! As the pistol shot is fired, the crowds clap and cheer stridently and you are officially ‘in the zone’. In the zone only means one thing, focusing on the path in front of you, what you’ve trained for and what you love doing. With your mind and eyes focused, your actions and movements become second nature and your adrenaline starts to kick in. Here and now, living in the moment and appreciating how far you have come until this very day.

Before we get to the finished 26.2 miles, we need to cover the running essentials before your race.

Running Kit for Marathons

  1. A great pair of running trainers
  2. Anti-blister socks for your trainers (you’ll thank us later)
  3. Running shorts that are made of nylon. The fabric doesn’t rub on your skin which saves you from chaffing. We would also recommend shorts that are sweat-wicking.
  4. Lightweight leggings
  5. Running vest/t-shirt
  6. Running base layers
  7. Lightweight waterproof running jacket
  8. Headband/sweatband – to keep your hair and sweat out of your eyes.
  9. Baseball cap – to keep your head and eyes protected from sun glare.
  10. Running accessories including water bottles and other necessities.
  11. Watch or timer.
  12. Sports bra (for the ladies)

Top Trespass Tip – We would also recommend a running hydration pack, which will keep you hydrated whilst running long distance. As a runner, you need to rehydrate constantly so having this pack will keep you going further for longer.
