D BurnsOverall this is a good product which will keep you warm and dry whatever the weather. It has a premium feel to it, and almost feels like a suit of armour in terms of its weather-resistance. However it is not perfect. The hood is very fidgety and does not sit well, only adjusting properly from one side, whereas the other side once adjusted simply returns to its basic starting point so to speak, after the faintest of movement. This means in order for it to withstand wind, it must be fastened on one side to the point it interferes with your sight lines. Additionally the pocket zips are prone to getting caught, after being worn less than 5 times one of the front pocket zips has been ruined after trying to get something out of it. All I did was zip it up and unzip it! This isn't through misuse, its bad design. It's not easy to put things in your pocket and zip it up, which is a pretty basic thing for a jacket! I got this at £65 during a sale, so wouldn't recommend paying any more than that for it. The two faults highlighted are definitely significant enough to consider.
MaajabuI've been looking for a decent 3 in 1 jacket for ages. Came across this one on line. It's a really great coat. Does what it says on the label. Comfy, warm with plenty of pockets. Highly recommended :)
API prchased the jacket for multi-sport purposes. Having the 2 layers is great. I have already used it for walking in the mountains where the wind and waterproof properties were superb, although obviously it does take up a fair amount of space in a back pack when not in use.. It also doubles - without the hood - as a great jacket for city cycling. My main reason for buying it was as a warmer day ski jacket. From the tech spec it should be great for that also. The fit is great and the styling is perfect - particularly all the pockets. In fact I like it so much it is the one I grab whenever I need a caual/ water/ windproof jacket to go out.
