Trespass are a prize winning outdoor clothing company with its headquarters based near the city centre of Glasgow. To allow the business to continue their growth online, we are looking for an Merchandiser to join our team.
The ideal candidate will come from a retail background and have worked in a similar role with responsibility for the duties listed below.
- Providing support for everything from stock level reviews through to weekly, seasonal and adhoc reporting, you will have a keen eye for detail and a high level of awareness with regards to what is selling and how to maximise profitability, analysing every aspect of bestsellers and ensure they reach their full potential. Monitoring slow sellers and taking action to reduce prices or set promotions as necessary.
- You will play a key role in forecasting sales, stock levels and margins and proactively identify opportunities and risks at category and line level - and have a clear understanding of Range Planning and WSSI/OTB.
- You will work alongside the buyer to identify opportunities and make recommendations on commitment, and will ensure that we always have the right stock, in the right place, at the right time.
Candidate should have retail merchandising background and have experience working collaboratively across different product ranges and teams. A strong team player who is numerate and analytical. Should have excellent Excel skills and be a fantastic problem solver who can work with data to quickly identify solutions and can successfully articulate findings and recommendations to key colleagues.
