Joe Berger is an illustrator and cartoonist from Bristol whose work can be seen regularly in the pages of the Guardian newspaper. Working largely by hand, Joe has produced countless short form comics commenting on the absurdities of everyday life, many in conjunction with his writing partner Pascal Wyse. Joe has worked in animation too and in recent years has turned his talents to writing.
Joe has written two books about his character Bridget Fidget and has illustrated many other children’s story books for a range of authors. As a boy he took inspiration from reading all sorts of books and he wanted to provide the same sense of wonder he got to a new generation of young readers. Joe’s bright and bold style has made him a staple in countless homes across the country. He is currently writing and drawing his first graphic novel for children, to be published by Simon and Schuster in 2017.
Joe’s work is charming, funny and witty, so we thought we’d let him try his hand at something new. Joe’s Doughnut helmet had us salivating when it reached Trespass HQ and we loved his unique approach.
