BODYBOARD FAQ'S
BOOGIE BOARD, BODY BOARD OR PADDLE BOARD – WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE?
A Boogie Board is the same as a body board - the only difference is the brand name. Typically boogie boards are cheaper than body boards – usually attracting people that are just starting to get into wave riding. Whereas bodyboards are designed for all levels – kids, beginners, and advanced riders. Paddle Boarding - also known as SUP - has grown in popularity over the last few years. Although paddleboards are similar in shape to surfboards, they're much larger in size and weight. The goal of paddleboarding is to stand or kneel continuously on the board, while using a paddle for stability and movement.
WHY USE A BOARDBOARD LEASH?
A leash prevents you from losing your board. It’s also a great safety tool. If you come off your board you’ll have a ready-made flotation in arms reach should you need it. Most of our surfboards come with them attached but they’re also available to buy on their own.
HOW DO I LOOK AFTER MY BODYBOARD?
Your bodyboard will last for a long time if it’s taken care of properly. Keep your bodyboard out of the heat, the direct sunlight will cause it to lose its shape. If you’re spending time at the beach cover your board with a wet towel or buy a cover for it. And, wash your board board after each use and store it somewhere safe where it can lay flat without anything on top. This will prevent the board from losing its shape.
