Nilay KamdarI bought this for a 4 day trip in the Cairngorms as a winter rucksack - to carry ice-axes crampons etc.
It's a very competitive price for what it is - I struggled to find any other rucksacks that have an aluminium frame and a mesh back system. Also has ice axe loops - (perhaps not the best design - but as long as it's functional it's okay).
I never sweated during the hike, and that too with going at a good pace - so it definitely allowed air movement which was pretty crucial.
However there are some faults. One of the tabs at the end of the elastic loops came off in my hand on day 2. I was able to fix it back on - but then not expecting this in a new pack.
Also in terms of adjustment, the only adjustment is via lengthening/shortening the shoulder straps. Unlike other mountaineering, you cannot adjust for height on the back. Also you cannot adjust for straps at the top to also adjust the load.
This does impact your walking style - which can be important on longer hikes.
Overall - I'd keep it, but would still keep an eye out in case anything comes along with the same value and deals with above problems. I suspect it could be a while though. This was a good find itself.
